Cognac François Voyer Hors d'Age Grande Champagne

The François Voyer family house - and its 28 hectares of vineyards - is located in Grande Champagne, near Verrières. Since 1870, more than 5 generations have been distilling the estate's wines in two stills only (while the largest distilleries have up to 50 stills).

Their bottles can be found in the best restaurants in France: Ducasse, Le Jules Vernes, Lucas Carton, and many others.

This Cognac is composed of some of the oldest eaux-de-vie from the house's cellars, from 40 to 60 years old - aged first in new Limousin oak barrels for 3 years, then in older barrels in a humid cellar. The reduction with distilled water was done in a progressive way in order to bring the maximum of finesse and complexity.

On the nose, the range of fragrances is exceptional: cinnamon, clove, vanilla, spices, dried fruits (walnuts and hazelnuts), musk and cedar of Lebanon. On the palate, notes of forest floor, truffle and violet, delicate peppery and vanilla notes. Incredibly complex, magnificent length in the mouth.
