The Magic of Earth, Men and Time.
In the Ragnaud Sabourin House, the philosophy of tradition has been perpetuated for more than 150 years.
It is Gaston Briand who founded this house in Grande Champagne, 1st Cru of Cognac, in 1850. Then, in 1941, it is Marcel Ragnaud that shapes the field as we know it today.
Since then, the estate has not changed, taking advantage of the unique qualities of the Charente terroir. Today, the estate is owned by Annie Ragnaud Sabourin and his son Olivier.
But there is no big Cognac without a great Cellar Master. Marcel Ragnaud, an exemplary winemaker and expert in viticultural alchemy, laid the foundations of the estate's philosophy - in particular the use of original and unmixed cru. This art was perpetuated by his successors, and today makes the quality and worldwide reputation of Ragnaud Sabourin Cognacs.
"Thus the family tradition has perpetuated the ancestral craftsmanship ... Thus the Cellar Master has patiently developed his art ... The connoisseur of Cognac will, in his turn, take his time to appreciate it ..."
"The Maison Ragnaud Sabourin has a sense of family and tradition. Owner, employees, and and even customers.... All of them succeed in this adventure, from father to son."
